The Sanctuary Building (13,489 SF) accommodates approximately 400 occupants and remains an absolutely stunning brick structure with beautiful stained glass windows that still showcase its original charm and craftsmanship. A fire occurred on December 7, 2024, originating in the ceiling area near the furnace or wiring to the furnace (cause undetermined). The sanctuary is currently burned out; however, following assessment by the fire marshal and insurance adjuster, the primary structure was deemed sound, with bracing recommended. This substantial footprint presents a rare opportunity to restore or reimagine a truly striking space.
The Administration Building (4,705 SF) was not affected by fire but did sustain water damage. An insurance claim was filed, and remediation has been completed, including removal of sheetrock throughout the building. A portion of the sheetrock has already been replaced, making this a straightforward project to complete with new drywall and finishes and an HVAC addition. Importantly, the electrical and plumbing systems were not impacted by the fire. Plans for renovations to the administration building are currently in process with the City of Atlanta and are nearing final approval.
The parking lot parcel provides approximately 27 parking spaces, with ample additional street parking opportunities available.
Insurance documentation is pending and will be provided once received. Seller spent over $150,000 on full remediation of both buildings which included Asbestos removal.
